Our main purpose is Education.
It is our desire to create, foster, and maintain interest in genealogical research.
Our goals are to:
* schedule classes so people of all ages can learn how to research
* offer a support system for beginners to help them along the way
* have our members participate by sharing their knowledge
* promote speakers that can teach us new methods and ideas
We share this information with others at meetings, seminars, and through our publications.

Our monthly General Meetings are held in a mix of virtual and in-person formats. We continue to have quality guest speakers in both formats. Members and visitors are invited to read about the next, upcoming monthly meeting. See the notes and links under “Upcoming Events” in the sidebar on the right side of this page. Registration is required for each virtual session.
Members Helping Members Genealogy Discussions:
BAGS members are hosting weekly and monthly online roundtable discussions as well as in-person meetings on select dates at the Friendswood Family History Center (Bring your own laptop and use their WiFi to access locked records or use one of their six available computers.)
See the link in the sidebar notice for these meetings.
